Answer:
Using humans as subjects in experiments that have any known probability of harming them in any manner cannot be morally or ethically justified.
Of course, measuring people's responses to mentally and physically benign stimuli or direct questions seems acceptable if the human subject is willing to participate and understands all of the ground rules.
