First of all, are you lazy by characteristic or is it a recent change in you that is bothering you? If you are lazy by birth, then it is your inherent behaviour, which may be very difficult to overcome. But if it is a recent development, some event in your life, which has become deepset in your mind could be the cause. This could be checked by psycho-analysis, hypno-regression, and perhaps cured too. Sometimes suitable remedial measures also are possible.
Alternatively, you could be passing through a patch in your life, and is your reaction to planetary influences, which can be analysed and understood by a scientific study of your Vedic Astrological birth chart. With the correct Birth date, Birth time, and Birth location information the correct birth chart drawn up and analysed.
I agree with ntherlites, it sounds like you may be depressed. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and a doctor can help.
It may just be a chemical imbalance, easy to take care of.
the best of luck to you. peace.
Laziness can only be an effect of lack of motivation, and lack of motivation can only be an effect of having a feeling of having a meaningless life, and it can be an effect of having a depression.
Gong back to school is not an option for I feel that you might just be using it as an excuse, an escape to your current situation.
Laziness isn't inheritable. There is a need to fix something within you.
You have all the goodwill in me, I wish you get past this.
Goodluck!
