Please take a look!! what is this subject called? what am I looking for?? living in dreams, matrix themes?
Number one is to do with when dreaming it is more real or more life like than when you are awake.. Something to do with alternative realms of dream worlds and the one we are living??
what is it called when talking about different realms?? different times zones?? different places?? In dreams and awakeness??
Number two is to do with artificial intelligence and where it is going in the future - (the whole robots killing humans because humans develop AI and because of thiis robots could take of the whole earth in 2050?)
Any help please please please? as I would love to write an essay on this all and it would help if I knew what it was called or what area of subject to research under??!!
Any other related suggestions to these topics that I could research would be highly helpful and appreciated
Thank you
Answer:
Please read "The Art of dreaming" by Carlos Casteneda or any of his other works. This post grad student of anthropolgy started his post grad studies into the medicinal plants used by certain mexican indians. He met a Yaqui Indian shaman who eventually enrolled him as his apprentice.
Within his training in developing his awareness he learnt how to increase his attention within dreams until he was able to merge his "dreaming body" with his daily body or "first attention". In our dreams we are able to perform acts incredible to our first attention i.e. flying, walking through matter etc. His work should give you some great resource on our potential. As would Robert Monroe's book "Journeys Out Of The Body".
This regular bloke started having out of body experience (often called astral projection) and this book is written like a diary of the events. Very factual and in plain "non hippy/new-age" speak. He researches the hows and whys too. Great reading. I have both sets of books if you get stuck and cant get them.
what ur talking about re dreams would
be alternate reality, altered states..robots in the
future would be futurism, general mysticism
1. The problem with accepting dreams as real are consisted in these arguments:
a) no continuity;
b) can be interrupted;
c) logic is not preserved;
d) invouluntarity of the dreamer's participation,
and maybe a few other arguments. If you want to discuss other worlds, than you should be prepared to discuss what is reality, or the harder question: Do our sences give a good picture of what reality is? This has to do with cognitive sciences and is pretty gnoseological.
2. The problem with the artificial inteligence is consisted in the problem of UNDERSTANDING. This quality of humans is unique, and the big question is whether the increase of memory in AI can compensate this quality. Personally, I can't believe it. So machines could not take of the Earth, certainly not 2050, nor 2100.
I think you are talking about Lucid Dreaming.
Peace
