How should I behave?
The thing is I'm not sure what kind of person I want to be - a b*tch, a kind one, etc. I'm not sure how to react to different situations, how to see the world. I don't know what to think, really. There are so many points of view, I just don't know which one to choose. I've been trying different behaviors, but whenever I try to decide upon something I'm afraid I'm making a mistake and that some other way of thinking and behavior would be better. I don't know what my priorities should be like, I really don't. I'm so tired, I just want to stick with some way of thinking and living and finally move on. I really don't want to spend my whole life being torn and dithering. Could you teach me what I should do, please?
Answer:
stop thinking about it.
obviously you are very young.
Its normal for young people,l that they feel uncomfortable in social situations, when they dont know what to say or how to behave.
Its part of gorwing up, its a slow process.
You can not choose. You are what you are. And you behave accordingly. You can only plau, like an actor, but it will not be yourself. Be yourself, even if it sounds funny, you saying you actually dont know who or how you are.
No worries. You will develop your character, your points of views, the more you learn and see, the more you listen to people, the more you read books and suck all that in what surrounds you.
I remember how ugly I felt, the first time I went into a disco with friends. I was totally embarrased to dance, totally embarrased to try to talk to girls and such.
Only with my best friends I felt ok.
so stop thinking about what you should choose to be.
Be yourself, be whatever you are reading this right now.
Thats just right.
No one can tell you this but yourself. Sometimes the way to understand yourself is to see what people you like to be with and why. Are they funny? Quiet? You like them for a reason, is it the way they act? Maybe you should act more like that. No matter what, be your own person.
Some sociologists think that behavior is biologically, vs others who think it's society. I guess you'd have to research it and see what kind of person you WANT to be. BE CONFIDENT.
No one can tell you how to behave...you need to do what you think is best...don't change for people, just be the best person you know how to be...
we can't teach you what you should go. Look inside or seek guidance from someone you look up to. don't be a ***. some people like bitches, but i don't. nor does anyone i know. i like nice people. be a nice person :)
Imagine what you would like the people whose opinion you value to say about you at your funeral. Live your life in such a way as to make that come true.
With age comes wisdow, unless you are an idiot!
People spend their whole lives figuring out how to act. You just have to adjust yourself accordingly to situations and then you will find your niche.
No one can tell you how to think, what to think, how to behave, etc...This is for you to decide. And if you make mistakes, you learn from them and move on.
Why would you want to live your life being bitchy and rude to people? Let that one go and try being kind, considerate and understanding of others around you. Try to be empathetic and put yourself in other peoples shoes before you judge them. A peaceful life is one in which you live by your values, stand up for what you believe in and for those less fortunate than yourself. We all have a purpose in life and our journey is filled with finding that purpose. Listen to your gut instinct and your heart. Don;t try to be something that you;re not. You will know it;s wrong for you if it feels wrong inside. Think about what is important to you and the things that really matter to you. These things will lead you in the right direction. Be a leader, be different, not a follower just to fit in. Be your authentic self and you will find happiness and peace.
Become a Forgive Affirmed Spirit. Apostle unto others and allow them to apostle unto you who would also wish to be this way. A Forgive Affirmed Spirit, while following generally acceptable mores and values that support kindness, IE Commandments and rules of love of their fellow man, uses or focuses their energy, either up front or in their behavioral background, parts or all of a method of Forgiveness and Affirmation to achieve the moment's innocent enjoyment by active listenning, empathy, sympathy and eventually affirming the goodness of others and in return getting that given back to them, for healing sake.
There are many facets to our identity. But there is one true one. You shouldn't have to choose how to be because the one real you will express itself naturally. You need to find your real self. It's the one that expresses a good nature without hardly any effort. When you do this you pass through life gracefully, growing like a real person, moving on to bigger and better things and attracting the right kinds of people into your life. If you don't find and express the real you, other identities spring up inside your head and they become the source of real conflict in your life.
So find the real you that expresses its good self naturally, and cultivate this only.
Why don't you decide to treat others as you would want them to treat you? The rest will come with maturity.
Who are you? Is that the question? You need to be you, take an inventory of your likes and dislikes in people you know and yourself, keep good qualities get of the bad... like MArtin said be yourself mostly..I am going through simular Id crisis myself. For years I was whoever my man or friends wanted me to be.. now half century later I am trying to find me..to be who I want to be and hoping it is a beautiful journey. Not sure of your age but be you no matter what.. if is something about yourself you don't like..change it your the only one can change yourself..
Be someone people want to be around, people will trust, and people will respect. Respect others, have compassion but don't be anyone's doormat. Have boundaries to protect your self-esteem, for instance, don't compromise your belief system to fit in; don't buckle to peer pressure.
Don't believe everything you hear or read. Think for yourself, ask questions, be informed. Decide what you feel in your gut is right and just, by determining how you want to be treated, and apply that to others.
Life includes changes that we must adjust to. Have fun along the way. Be proud of the person you are and become.
