How can i make my intuitions work for me?

lots of times i get these feelings which are not my usual routine stuff, for example, one time i was driving down this road and i thought i should turn here, than said no way, it will take longer to get there cuz of the lights, so i stayed on same road, then i got a speeding ticket, and i have had many feelings like these some have turned out good, some not so good, i want to know how can i ever tell, does anyone have any experience with making the best use of these intuitions

Answer:
..Ruby, your brain has many areas working at the same time. Since you can't focus on more than one thing at a time in conscious attention, you are unaware of most of this good thinking, which is going on "in the background." When your brain arrives at something relevant and important, it will present it to you, as if "knocking at the door" of your attention. This is what we call intuition...you know something, but since you weren't paying attention to the thought process that did the work, you don't know why you know.

Here's how to make your intuitions work for you...
1. Listen to these thoughts when you feel them knocking at the door
2. Don't impulsively act on every gut-feeling you get. Check them out with logic before you act on them, time permitting.

The more you do this, the more skillfully you will recognize intuitive feelings and act on them well.

Good luck!
It is not that believe what we see, but its that we see what we believe. Our minds are amazing, yet we have never had an "owners manual" that would answer the great mysteries of this part of our body that we use so little of.

"If you think you can, you can; If you think you can not, you are also right".

Focus on what you want, and if you do have some potentially revealing intuitions, then follow them. What I have noticed is that women have a better sense of intuition than what men do. I am certain that this might apply to different areas of life.

Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!
It doesn't take intuition to know that speeding isn't a good idea. It sounds to me like you need common sense. The rules that we are supposed to live by are there to keep us out of trouble. Intuition is more important in emotional issues like ---is the man I am dating good enough for me or is he a player --not decisions about driving a car.
I'm prepared to be drawn & quartered, but I believe in intuition 100% Not because I "want" to believe, but because over many years it's never failed. It's beyond coincidence. That is my proof. The few times I've not "listened," I've regretted it, from the most silly little things to the most serious. (As for common sense about speeding, I assumed you were just using this as an "example.") It's difficult to put into words. It's almost like another part of you speaking. (Precognition is much like this, & "paying attention" in spite of the apparent irrationality of it, saved two lives.) The best way to make use of you intuition is to LISTEN. I felt I should check my oil, but didn't want someone I was driving to be late for their appointment--I burned out my engine. I had a meeting, had fractured my foot, take the cane! Neah. It's just a short walk! Turned into climbing slippery ivy embankments & one hell of a lot of pain. PULL OFF THE ROAD, I feel an impact in my chest. (Precognition.) Waited. Further down the freeway, a horrible accident with covered bodies in which the driver & myself would have been involved had we gone on. This cup of coffee is perfectly safe on the table--MOVE IT. Ah, forget it. Bump into it & coffee all over the floor. Please let me say that I suspect some people will tell you that you "caused" these things to happen. Nope. "Listening" to my intuition has never harmed me; not listening has.
Think of the potential consequences. If they're not likely to be fatal and you are still curious, act on your intuition. Then respond to the consequences. You might not get results you'd prefer, but you'll have fun exploring - whether it's people or roads.
The intuition you described might have been purely
superstitious. However, it might not have been. Perhaps
you observed out of the corner of your eye a car on the
other side of the road moving in the opposite direction
who flashed their lights at you for warning. You might
not have consciously observed the warning, but your
sub-conscious might have sent you an intuition to
change your routine. In my opinion, many intuitions arise
as a result of the sub-conscious signaling the conscious.
I believe it can be considered in terms of proximity of
sub-conscious to consciousness. In other words, the
sub-conscious might contain all of the pieces of the
puzzle, but the conscious is only capable of viewing
a portion which is significant enough to trigger an
intuition rather than a complete explanation.
in good judgment trust that voice.very few have it and trust it ..the more you you use it the more it will help you.it is called YOU...with all your knowledge and commonsense tell you you are ok
