My feelings on free speech?
Feel free to coment
For the most part, I am a straight forward person. I lead a pretty high disipline life, I earn my paycheck, I train my body to be strong and fit, and I try to sharpen my mind.
When I was 16 I was rather hyper critical of other. One instance I recall rather well, was when I was at the state wrestling tournament and I injured this ladies son. She came running down the stadium stairs, and grabbed my arm and started shaking me, cussing, and debating on hitting me.
Her son had broken his colar bone landing wron on the mat. A mistake that could happen to anyone at anytime.
Anyway, I shrugged my shoulder, jerked my arm out of her hand and told her to get her fat * back to her seat, and told her not to have a heart attack on the way up.
Three days later, my schools principal called me into his office, and asked me why I would say such a thing to this lady. She apparently called the school and demanded an apology. I said F that amd walked out.
Answer:
There is a difference between speaking your mind and being downright rude. If you were 16 it is obvious the woman was your elder. That shows you have no respect for your elders. #2 a parent always feels the need to protect their children. Your actions proved that you were unconcerned for her son and were a selfish little jerk. So basically you added insult to injury.
However, this is what it takes to make it in the real world. Look out for #1 and keep up the good work. GOD knows no one is ever gonna cut you any slack and we live in a society without concience or mercy. Don't let anyone tell you any different! Our society is designed to use conscience to hold you down, beleive me I know from experience. Your a natural.
So is that your opinion on free speech or obesity. When you are a father you might understand someone acting irrational when their child is hurt. If someone is an arsehole they can change it but I do not take it as my personal responsibility to point it out to them.
That's really not a free speech issue. It's matter of common sense and courtesy.
You don't see why that mother would be upset when her son gets hurt? You acted like typical 16 year old would. Immature and impatient. Not being able to see the other side.
Too many people scream 'I have my free speech' whenever they act like jerks. Free speech shouldn't be excuse to acting mean and acting immature.
What's the point of yelling at mother whose son was injured? Are you really that shallow? Really that self centered?
May be the truth is that you're just insensitive jerk. Perhaps you got nothing to be criticized about. So you have high IQ, fit, handsome, smart...etc. Except you're just real jerk.
You're right the truth does hurt. But so do fat ladies scared for their boys.
You could have handled it better by far.
Language skills are in order here my son, because as upset as you were a soft answer to the woman would have turned the truth into an acceptable truth. You insulted her, while she was already hurting.
Free speech is one thing, but it's abuse has allowed a plethora of fools to strike at society with a complete lack of wisdom. We are paying for it.
You have the right to free speech, but should you take liberties in abusing it?
Find the woman and apologize earnestly, as well as the principal for your foul language. You know you are free to speak like that ...kindly.
This is not a free speech issue. You responded to a physical and verbal confrontation. No apology necessary.
