Do you agree with having plastic surgery done just to enhance physical appearance?
Answer:
I don't believe in cosmetic surgery, and I have an "ordinary" face with the appropriate amount of wrinkles for a girl my age. I'm happy with how I look.
My best friend, has had fake titties put in, a tummy tuck, & a face lift. She looks gorgeous! She's also happy with how she looks!
I don't try to talk her out of getting [what I think is unnecessary] surgery, & she doesn't try to talk me into it. We both respect each others differing opinions.
It's an individual choice.
Why should it be considered "wrong" if someone wants to improve their looks, or enhance their self esteem?
I have known people who have had plastic surgery to correct things they felt were problem areas and they are very happy with the work. It has enhanced their self confidence so much, it's unbelieveable. I say if you have the money to do and it's going to make you feel better go ahead. I mean, we do other things to change our physical appearance that are drastic (they just don't include a knife) like kicking our butts at the gym, going on crazy diets, washing our faces fifty times a day, using creams to stop wrinkles, you name it, so I don't see the harm.
Only if it is a deformity. I have a friend who had her nose redone and she hates the results!
Hi. i haven't undergone plastic surgery but i have a close friend who did. I agree with her that there's nothing wrong with it as long as you don't get obsessed about it (like other people who've been undergoing surgery several times a year).. and as long as you have the money- why not? as for my friend (who felt she was just so plain), it actually gave her a higher self esteem, like it's a better 'she' after the surgery. Sometimes she tells me she feels like people's eyes are on her when she walks on the street and it gives her a sense of pride and self-worth- like, she's no wallflower at all. well, i just told her to never let it get to her head.
If cosmetic surgery is used to mend a serious flaw or disfigurement . yes. The issue now becomes what constitutes a serious flaw or disfigurement. Do drooping lids constitute as serious flaw ... in my book..No. However, the person with drooping lids can argue that they look older and are therefore less likely to get a job because looking youthful is a prerequisite. There is no real reply. I say do as you please and suffer the consequences later.
No way!! The only way I'd even consider it is if I got into some freak accident and got really messed up. I'd only try to restore how I looked before. The way you look is what makes you unique. If everyone was prefect then there would be no competition. Then everything would be boring. Besides, plastic surgery doesn't always turn out well. Sometimes it makes it worse. It can also be very dangerous. I know people who' ve had it done. I hope you aren't considering it. The cost is ridiculous! Good luck if you do decide to try it!
well here is why it is wrong...it is projecting toward the public an unrealistic ideal...with the amount of plastic people are putting on their bodies these days it seems as tho maybe a century from today we will not even look human anymore. also plastic surgery can go terribly wrong as it has with so many people only requiring more cosmetic surgery to fix the mistakes..the best thing to do is to accept the fact that being flawed is a part of being human...
I have three concerns on this topic - first, those who obsess with retaining the illusion of youth apparently are unaware that their organs continue to rot; second, if a parent ops for the surgery, will their children be born perfect or have mom's huge schnoz and how do they explain that, and third, what will archaeologists think 500 years from now when they open graves and see all the plastic - especially breast implants - and metal pieces inside along with some bones. Oh to be a fly on the wall...
I don't think it is wrong. I think some people get addicted to it and end up looking like a plastic figure. that is wrong. If it just enhances a person to be the best they can be it is OK, weather for sound medical or cosmetic reasons. No I have never had any, if i could afford it i probably would have a nip and a tuck here and there. I can be pretty vain also.
If you can afford it and feel good about it and its safe, do it...
I have never had plastic surgery. The only type of surgery that I would ever consider are the ones that increase my vision and decrease my epilepsy.
A lot of the people who get the surgery, aren't happy with life anymore than they were prior. One has to fix the inside before considering the surgery unless its' brain surgery. Besides, look at Michael Jackson.
I would certainly never undergo a surgery to "improve" my appearance...
except burn injury , or major accidents , no one goes for plastic surgery to maintain body health..
those who go for facial lift or changing the facial look. or nose etc. are not accepting themselves as nature made..
Unless their face or body is so disfigure, they should not go for plastic surgery.
the Celebrity craze for big B , by having implants has stormed the common man's houses too.
Plastic implants are making , hole in pocket,
pain in body,
addiction to pain killers when implants are to be readjusted again by surgery..
Body is changing every moment.. growing, and renewed .. but the implants are just a luggage not to be touched .. but to be carried ..
body may find it not suitable to accept it then it will show in some reactions, or pains
then you take pain killers
then you go for repairs , again more surgery
all this is great for those who have more money than they can use.. but for a common man it is simply a torture and punishment
no because they always end bad i always feel they are not real not natural i mean look at the street u can know who are the people who done plastic surgeries and after a while u will find that all people look identical and u won't yourself if u done one UNIQUE
