Are you one of life's 'givers' or one of life's 'takers?'?

Be honest now.. I'll be calling round later to check.

Answer:
I would say i spent most of my life as a giver. My mother was bipolar and i dropped out of school for 3 years to take care of her instead of putting her in a home. I also took care of my grandmother while she was in hospice. I worked volunteer in a nursing home.

However after the birth of my daughter for a short time i had to learn to be a taker. I had to learn to take help from others because i had a very bad c section. I had to have 3 unit transfusion and be reopend. I realized i couldn't do it myself and started accepting help from others.

so on the most part i try to be a giver but i have learned to be a taker when necessary.
giver
give and take, mostly borrow.
both- i like to give and i like to get
Definately a giver, I support a wife, an ex-wife and four children.
I believe I'm a giver, I have been caring for people all my life!
Giver
In my youth I was a taker

when I matured and sobered up, I became focused on giving as much as I can. I emphasize giving vs taking in my life and make sure the ratio is well in favor of giving.
both mostly taker tho
I'm generally a "giver." I've been so blessed that I enjoy sharing my blessings with others.
I would say I do a bit of both...I think that life is about knowing when to give & knowing when to take....I'll be waiting for your knock at the door.
I have always been a giver, but there was a tragedy in our family 6 months ago, and I have been a taker. It is very strange, and I am not uncomfortable with it yet. I am still a little out of it.
To be honest I am a life giver. I have gave so much to my family and also helped in school. Below are some of teh things I have helped for in my life.

* Was a student assistant in school.
* Helped out a nurse in orlando
* Helped my grandma after her surgery.
* Always helped my teacher Ms.Thomas organize her papers and messy classroom.
* Cleaned the house when My mom couldnt.
* Tutored some students in my school

I have more I just cant remember them all. So far this is what I have given in the past 3 months I think.

=) I am honest. Hope to god and cross my heart. Please believe me. Most people don't like my friends over at milwaukee. But the only one that know if it is true or not is god and family. TAKE CARE.
Unfortunately, I'm more of a taker, though I don't like it.
I am both. I take because I must and sometimes because I want to. and I give because I must and sometimes because I want to.
Giver. To much giving.
I 'Give' answers and 'take' points! So I'd say both
Sometimes I think all I do is give and give without ever getting anything back, but I know it's not as bad as it seems sometimes. I am a generous person and I tend to feel bad when other people do nice things for me. There are a lot of pretty selfish people in my life, so that combined with my occasional reluctance to accept others' help and giving doesn't make me much of a taker. But if I had more opportunities I probably would. A lot of the time I have to give many times as much as I want to get when it comes to the selfish people in my life. So while I am a kind and generous person, and like giving, I must admit that I am, much of the time, a giver out of necessity. I have to give and give and give to get a bit of what I need and want. That's just the way my life is.
Definately giver.
At one time I was so insure & felt I was so lacking all I could do was take. But that changed & now I definately give more than I take, but it took a lot of work on myself to get there.
definitely a giver, taking (getting) what I deserve :)
I think I'm probably a giver more than a taker. I don't necessarily think that's good though.
Givers need the acceptance of what they give, it fills a need they have, hence they take that acceptance and are just as much takers as givers. I think of myself as a giver but am not sure how I would respond if my giving was routinely rejected. Giving and taking are flip sides of the same coin.
