Answer:
Now this is more of wheather or not you are up for it. It sounds like your could make a grat judge or lawyer, it's just a matter of wheather or not you are willing to defeat this fear of speaking in public. Are you going to let fear get in the way of something you want? There is no easy way to something you want, there is ussualy some obstical you have to tacle. You can speak well and you are intelligant so you have beat those obsticals, now all that remains is fear.
You can get past this fear. Many people have this same fear. Just keep doing it and it will become easier. Follow your dreams and you can do whatever you want to.
everyone fears public speaking. just get as much experience as you can, and each time will be easier.
There are way way way way way too many lawyers on this planet.
Public speaking is very very scary for most people.

Like everything, it gets easier with practice. The more you do it, the more relaxed you will become.

Good luck!

In my experience Lawyers are like everyone else - they are all different, and the ones that seem more human are most likey to be appointed. Keep in mind am speaking from my experience and it is a small sampling, and I am in Northern California. I think you will be fine and you are normal.
You'll get over it. You'll learn to deal with this in college, trust me.

I'm a musician and I've been playing live for 20 years and the first minute I'm nervous, then I'm OK.
It's normal to feel fear when speaking to people you don't know. Many colleges have a public speaking class and i've even seen some community centers do it, you might want to look into that. Also, you said in the future, so i assume you're not in college. Once you get into college and even the law classes you will be doing reports in front of the class, some profs also have you pick a topic and teach the class for the day, which will help. Don't stress about it too much, college will prepare you.
First of all, how old are you?

I used to be scared to speak in front of others, but then I practiced a lot and now can speak in front of just about any size crowd! I've even given presentations in front of 100 plus people! Don't let your fear stop you from reaching your goals. It will become easier, if you face your fear. Join a local Toastmaster's group to get some practice and support. They are a great organization.
Reason for fear

The fear of speaking is rated as only second to the fear of snakes and before the fear of dying.

Effects of fear

What happens to many people is that--even before they start speaking--their heart starts beating faster and their mouth gets dry. Some may even get nauseous or feel like fainting.

Once the person starts talking, the heart keeps beating rapidly and the person may hear his or her voice tremble. The legs or even the whole body may start shaking. The person may also stutter or start speaking rapidly.

Although some people calm down, once they get going, others may ramble through the material incoherently.

Do you wonder why many people don't want to go through that ordeal again?

My experience

When I was in high school, I was terrified of speaking in front of the class. I would tremble and my mouth would fill with saliva. The only way I could effectively give a presentation to the class was to sit in a chair. My English teacher frowned on this and thought I was just trying to be different or difficult.

Looking foolish

The reason most people get anxious when required to speak to a group is that they are afraid of looking foolish or stupid in front of many of their peers and important people. They are afraid that their mind will go blank or that their lack of speaking skills will lower the opinion others have of them.

Being humiliated can destroy a person's ego and confidence. In fact, it can really ruin your day.

Steps to overcome that fear

There are several steps of tricks to use to overcome the fear of making a mistake or looking foolish when you speak to a group:

Be well-prepared before speaking to a group
Practice your speech
Have a backup, in case you forget what you want to say
Reduce the fear of your audience
Relax yourself just before you speak
The more you speak in front of a group of people your fear will less on . And as you age your attitudes about people will change.
The best way to overcome nervousness about public speaking is to submerge yourself in public speaking. Take courses that require you to speak in front of groups. It is normal to feel nervous. Do you remember the butterflies in your stomach the first time you rode a bike by yourself or drove a car? The more you did it the easier it got. Don't let your fear of public speaking hinder your dreams. Overcome! Good luck to you. Where there is a will there is a way. You can do it!
Fear of public speaking is very common and you'll be able to get over it if you try. There are lots of resources on the net. For example, this article:

And even if you never conquer your fear entirely, you should not let it stop you from pursuing your chosen path. There are lots of ways to practice law, many of which, maybe even the majority of which, wouldn't require you to stand up and orate in open court (all those TV shows to the contrary). Follow your bliss, buddy. Good luck.
well i have the same thing too but i think they teach u this when u go for ur studies in future...
relax, your young, .. i imagine. and passing the bar is stressful . but as your achievements compound you will find more confidence. plan a mock trial with some friends first ..then with a few people that you don't know. do a debate, or anything that will make you comfortable speeaking to a group. i think you'll be just fine. and congrats!... in advance.
Think about the fact that before you finish the first two years of college you will spend alot of time doing public speaking in your classes. By then you will know how comfortable you are, my money is on your becoming an attorney. Also, not all lawyers become trial lawyers and still advance.
Fear of public speaking is normal for most people. As with most any fear, you can conquer it if you really want too. You just have to literally face it by putting yourself in the position of speaking in public. I don't know your age, but you can work on this by enrolling in college classes that are specific for public speaking and communications. Most high schools offer elective classes for this as well now days (if that is closer to your age). You can even practice for free on your own by choosing a topic you have knowledge on and speaking about it at home in front of a group of family and friends (write out your thoughts in logical order in the form of a speech outline first). You'd be amazed at how just a few times of actually getting up in front of a group and talking about something you really know something about will build your confidence. You are correct in that to be a lawyer or judge, you HAVE to have very good public speaking skills. It would be wrong to assume that all lawyers and judges are NOT scared of public speaking, but they are clearly to a point wher they can overcome any fear they may have of it. The bottom line is: You already know what direction you want to go in life. You already have assurance from others that you have some of the skills needed to get there. Now, convince yourself that you are capable of doing whatever it takes to get there, and do it. I don't know you at all, but I believe you can do it if you really want to. Self doubt kills more dreams and opportunities than any outside person could ever do.
It is normal to be afraid to speak in public. Is just a fear that you need to get over. The best way to get over it, is by reading poetry in public. You do not have to start with strangers, you could do it with friends or family. Once you start it will be easier to speak since poetry difficult to read especially to a lot of people. So dont give up on being a lawyer you will get over your fear...
I think most people feel nervous when they talk in front of a large group - but as you do it more often and start to feel more confident in the things you are saying, your fears will become less. I know - for me - in work situations that I've been far more comfortable speaking to a group when I'm well prepared and know my material. When you memorize something, you're always nervous that you'll forget part of it - but when it's something that you feel strongly about and know about, it's much easier to talk and feel comfortable with the topic.
