Being harrassed on the phone?

first of all, i think i know who i'm dealing with and no, he is not dangerous. i just don't know why he's doing it and it's strange the way he does it. when my mom asnwers, he hangs up immediately and he only calls in the morning, never in the afternoon and he's always just quiet. he only calls once per day but last week, when i answered the phone, i hung up immediately and after a minute he called again. why do you think he's doing this (he's a sensible person, intelligent, and once again, not dangerous), does he just want to hear my voice or what. thanx.

Some moms and dads try to make their children hate the other parent and not allow phone calls. It's not a gender issue however, and has been known to also be done by the parent placing the call as well in some cases of divorce.

You did not stipulate any relationship to the caller. If you don't know that person how do you know he isn't a stalker? Even if you do know that person he's playing phone games and that's not healthy behavior.

Probably just trying to get to you or trying to get you to call him.

He is obsessed with you. He is stalker material. He probably is very socially awkward. He can become dangerous if you reject his attentions. If you are interested in him romantically ask him directly why he keeps calling and not talking to you. If you are not interested, you need to make it clear to him, but be prepared that his obsession will grow and he may start to stalk you. Phone harrassment is a crime and you can get the police involved.

If you know who he is why don't you just ask him what he wants. He is acting very strange so deal with it now before his behaviour gets worse and turns into even weirder behaviour.
