Can you explain the idea of good luck, is there really something in this or do you make your own good luck?

Well, I tried asking a few questions about luck here but the majority of answerers somehow denied the concept of luck whatsoever and even treated my question with some negativity or condescension.
I can see why it happens, people prefer to think they make their fate themselves, they prefer to think they make their own decisions and by working hard they really get what they want. Or, as a person here said, they see it as an excuse. This is a very positive and realistic and down-to-earth outlook I respect.
I do believe there is something to the idea of luck, whether it is karma or something else. My guess is that somehow the strong emotions you have about something tend to produce a physical effect (fear, expectation, faith). Just my idea. If, for example, a certain amount of people believe that a place or object is lucky it may in fact become lucky.
"Good luck" is a escape tool of cowards, be bold in your thinking and actions, luck will follow you.
I don't like saying something is "good luck"...i'd prefer to say that someone is just simply "blessed".
Yes to both. There is good luck but you make it by helping people (AKA karma).

I dont think that there is a such thing as good or bad luck.. I look at it as things happen
