Im 13, and i was wondering why is it hard to be growing up and going through puberty?? I feel sad alot why??
Answer:
Puberty is hard and there is no way around it. It sucks, I know. Hormones are going crazy and you can seem to stabilize them. One moment you want to slice a wrist and the next you are excited to be alive and looking for friends to hang out with. I don't know if I have embarrassing stories...I probably have repressed them all in my memory...jaja :-). I CAN recommend something. Let yourself sleep a lot because you are growing. Sometimes doing exercise helps...so if you join a sport that usually helps or even if you do some kind of dance class or something. Also (this is my best recommendation) have a small cube of chocolate (dark chocolate is best but if if you don't like dark chocolate, milk chocolate will do) when you feel really down. Chocolate releases something called endorphines which are the "happy" triggers in your brain. It really helps during puberty and if you are concerned with weight, you can easily work it off if you are doing a bit of exercise. If you're not much of a chocolate eater then passion fruit works, strawberries works as well. I hope it works out. Speaking from the other side... I'm glad it was only a few years of my life, but once you get to the other side, you are stronger and better becuause of it. peace.
That'll be jumpy hormones caused by the puberty, it'll get better.
Well i know how you feel. I went through depression because of HS and puberty. Its very difficult I understand. I feel the same way every little thing frustrates me or makes me sad. I dont really have any embarrassing moments thats are REALLY that bad but in school last year I fell flat on my face while rushing up the stairs =/ and the seniors saw it ahah. The good thing is that no one laughed they just asked if i was okay. So i got up looked straight ahead and marched up those stairs like nothing happened.
It will get better and here is a joke for you
two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.
The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?"
"Eight," the boy replied.
The man continued, "Do you know what these are used for?"
The boy replied, "Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him.
He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do either one."
