What is one way to really get to know yourself?
Answer:
The best way that I have known myself is when I travel alone.
It is then when I discover how do I react to different things, different situations, to people I don't know. I also discover how easy or hard it is for me to relate with others.
Also it's a good time for me to "walk the talk", to see if I do what I always say I do.
Additionally, I get to discover new things about me, from simple things like new food that I didn't know I hate or like, to things that actually get into my nerves.
Generally after a roadtrip I always find that I grew a bit more, and that I know me better. I suggest you to do the same.

by trying new things,you dont know what you like until you experience it for yourself
take walks or go jogging by yourself or w/ an iPod..these give you a lot of time to let your mind wander and think about things you normally dont get to.
see yourself in others. hang out with people who do the same stupid things you do. It puts it in perspective when you see others do things. Visit your parents and watch those things they say that you now say. and cry.

Ask others for honest answers about yourself. Tell them they really need to be totally honest and promise not to be mad at the answers. Finding out how people see you will help to learn about yourself. Look around you at how you are living and how you think. Take notes on yourself. Keeping a journal and then looking back at it a month or so later helps to understand yourself.

though if you want to try to learn yourself, change things in your life, do something else, go to another country and work there. this will help you inderstand yourself.
