How do you purify your mind?
Answer:
This will help, but while we are in these mortal bodies there will always be temptations and trials. Getting rid of them completely won't happen till we have our immortal glorified bodies. We do have our spiritual armor, and we need to use it.
Commit these scriptures to memory and stay in the Word daily. When you are praying pray use Bible verses. (for instance pray God please help me to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus).
2 Corinthians 10:5 "We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ."
Pray, for God to help you to be anxious for nothing and help you to have His peace which surpasses our understanding.
Philippians 4:6-9
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things and the God of peace will be with you."
Romans 12:2
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that whihc is good and acceptable and perfect."
Also remember that Jesus says that if something is causing you to stumble (like internet pornography etc...) take drastic measures to get that out of your life. If you need to get rid of the computer or have blocks installed on it do it.
Matthew 5:30 "If your right hand makes you stumble, cut if off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose on eof the parts of your boyd than for your whole body to go into hell"
{in other words, take drastic measures, not actually cutting off your hand but getting rid of what is causing you to stumble}
Read and study the Bible, see if there is a group of fellow believers who can start an accountability group and who will pray with you and for you.
All of this is said assuming you are asking from a Christian perspective. If you have not received salvation from Jesus and been reconciled to God by placing your faith in Christ and following Him, and would like to know more about that, email me.

Meditating i suppose...or you know alcohol!
Try yoga. I love it. Try yoga once a week.
Thinking positively about every situation. The easy options in life are always that - easy. But they're not the ones to help you move on to greater things. If you want to succeed then take the harder option and fight with positivity. It is the only thing to have on board with you. You should know what's right and wrong so go down the right road everytime and you will find positivity will become a part of you and you'll never look back.
With Dianetics!! You can remove all the past times of neglect, fear, uncontiousness, anger, unawareness and negative emotions.
It has worked for me. I would not say i have no upsets, fears or past situations. But I would say I am a great deal more able to deal with with these thought.
You don't. Negative thoughts, along with positive ones, come and go. What counts are the thoughts that you choose to act upon.
oh that's easy :P
like this
*me purifies my mind*

well, the sad thing is i cant get rid of these thoughts , no matter wut i do. they just dont n wont go away, UNLESS the positive thoughts outweigh the negative ones. then i'd feel better.

by thinking good clean and wholesome thoughts...when something negative comes into your mind, be aware of it,then release it...replace it with a positive thought
get good and drunk
you probably cant get too pure of a mind, one thing that helps me is exercise, you use all your energy towards body movements, than you feel clearer and start from a fresh mind. but that is life , postive and negative, just choose to dwell on the good
watch a ballgame in which I have no rooting interest
Start with your body and move towards a spiritually healthy mind - strive for the ability to live in the truth without intrusion.
Cover your nose, mouth and ears, and then let out a fart. You'll clear it right up.
Either that or throw about 50 wasabi beans in your mouth at once.
peroxide or rubbing alcohol...burns a little bit but does the trick
read the Word of God (bible)
Depending on who you ask and what philosophy they have, there are as many out there as there are stars in the sky. To purify the mind, one must have an outside source. You can empty your mind as in yoga, but that will not purify it. You can change your attitude, and alwys think positively about things, but that will only give you a positive outlook on life not a purified mind. The mind can only be cleansed, purified and made whole when it is consecrated, given over, and allowed to be filled by something that is greater than our minds - the only one that is and can and desires to do that is God! Only God and his word can purify your thoughts, only by His consecration of your heart, mind and soul and that by accepting His gift of salvation, allowing him to enter your heart, the seat of your soul, and then having done that, to be filled with the Spirit of God which we are given the mind of Christ - then and only then will our minds be purified made whole and complete in what God has called for you to be.
