How do I settle for the fact my boyfriend dips?
I've been with my boyfriend for about 2 years now. Before I met him he used to dip all the time. I got him to stop for a long time (over a year), but now he's starting to do it again. I've tried everything to get him to stop, told him about all of the affects of it (lip cancer, tooth loss, bad breath, gum disease) and even showed him pictures of it!! I even tried to reason with him asking him not to do it in front of me, and he just says "I'm going to do what I want." I told him I'm not going to kiss him during and after he dips. I give up on trying to get him to stop for the second time. He says it's controlling of me telling him to stop. He just doesn't care about my feelings on it anymore. I guess I'm going to have to get over it and deal with it. Any advice? Because I can't stand it and it grosses me out! Help!
Answer:
keep trying to get him to stop. it worked once you said. just keep letting him know that you dont like him doing that stuff. i dip, & i am trying to stop as well. good luck
omg! why are you with someone who doesnt care what you think? you should select, DONT settle.
Either you will have to learn to live with it if you decide to stay with him or leave him. If he is a habitual dipper then you will really have to learn to live with it.
if he won't listen to you now, he'll never listen. it's about respect, and he's saying he doesn't respect you.
you should break up with him ASAP. and dont ever talk to him or see him. you dont deserve him.
He's addicted. Also, he doesn't respect you; instead he says, "I'm going to do what I want and you're too controlling," and you mentioned he doesn't care about your feelings. If he doesn't respect you or care about your feelings when it comes to other issues too, then you're better off without him.
