Do you ever get disappointed when you realize how many people here are so greedy for BAs that... :) ?

they forget all about being generous?

Thank you for your answer! :) Have a wonderful day! :)

Answer:
Hey Moon :)
You can't get BA's unless you answer some questions. You do a lot of asking.. not a lot of answering... promises promises, dear Moon :)

You can get BA's and be generous you know!
Truthfully no, I've not even noticed that people are greedy for best answers. How could you even tell that?
And I've found many, many generous people on this site.

You're welcome and you have a fab day or evening.
Thought you had to be generous to get a BA
For my questions I wouldn't choose an ungenerous answer and honestly doubt voters would choose a crappy ungenerous answer.

I have however found myself answering similar questions and instead of typing it all out again I have copied and pasted the answer..if that is ungenerous then I'm guilty and sorry for it.. even though the answer was correct and got BA for it more then a few times :-)

Thank you for your question, you are welcome and have a fantastic day :-)
The only less than generous thing I've seen on here are the occasional people who post that they've gotten two points just by posting that they've gotten two points. They could get the same two points by voting for two best answers that nobody bothered to pick a best answer for. Lokey, there's two things I guess.

Anyone who bothers to answer a question honestly, or even in fun, is being less than generous. There are people who genuinely need answers to serious questions and they have to be attended to as well. This is FunQA.com and at least part of our time here should be invested in coming up with one or two within our fields of expertise. I know that I truly appreciate folks like guitarpicker and chessmaster who put genuine time and research, or share life experience to make sure beginning musicians get a hand up in their first attempts to gain some mastery over their instruments. There are many others as well, too many to think of before my first cup of coffee. Clicking on a thumbs up is nice, but changing someone's life by offering them a way around a roadblock or closed door takes "nice" to a whole new level. Please don't disparage the answerers just because they may fail to click on an icon during their quest to genuinely help other people. Those scores reflect that help, and some want to build those scores up to establish some credibility behind their icons. It might be about being taken seriously more than being greedy after all!
I haven't noticed that so much. I don't feel that I necessarily need to be chosen as BA, unless my answer truly is "best". There have been times when mine has been chosen, and I actually take the time to go back and read the other answers, and I wonder "Why was *mine* chosen?!?" I do hate to get a thumbs down when I have honestly answered something . . . I don't try to offend anyone, and try to research the questions well before I answer (or I don't answer. There are some questions I've looked at and decided no amount of research would help me, so I can't begin to try to help someone else!)
Hope your day is great!!
