What are some other reasons?
Answer:
Without someone to tell them they're beautiful, sexy, worthwhile, etc., they feel inadequate and put at a disadvantage below most others. They feel like they're not important enough to have someone be close to them in that way. They feel put emotionally, physically, mentally, etc., below others who DO have significant others. They may also feel as though it were his or her own fault they broke up...so...guilt, remorse. Like they shouldn't have let it happen, or that it was their fault that it DID happen, even if the other person was the one to suggest the split. The person may feel less attractive in more ways than one, if they know they can't keep someone on their arm, then...they feel like perhaps the rest of the world will reject them as well.
they feel they have lost their future. or their PLANNEDD future.
Until the break-up, they generally knew what their life would be like for the next few months or years, or for their lifetime.
Depending on how much someone has pictured their significant other in their future, when they broke up, that future just vanished.
Of course, they still HAVE a future, but right after the breakup, many people feel they have lost their whole life - when what they have lost is a plan.
they feel empty, and insecure without them. its all kinda mental...
the ego crushing knowledge that the person dumped you instead of you dumping them,, hahahah!
*Financial obligations (if spouse)
*Disturbance of routine life already set
*what should be the new future plan.
*If they have kids they have to plan how the kids will be looked after now.
*how to find/choose significant other.
*social pressure.
