What do you do when you have too many thoughts on your mind?

How do you learn to manage those thoughts, one thought at a time? I know I should not do this, but I am a bit of a worrier.

Answer:
Try putting on a comedy that you know makes you laugh or listen to your fav music and have a dance around. You may find exercise helps you to cope with overthinking.
Or you could write down everything thats worrying you like in the agony aunt pages and then answer them as if your solving another persons problems. Then cross them out once you have an answer and do this at the end of the day just before you go to bed so you don't have to worry as you know you can get back to the problems the next day when your refreshed.
I have ADHD and bipoller so it happens alot goda live with it.
Either, write them down or go to sleep and think about it tomorrow!

Good Luck!
I lie down and completley relax. I dream of beaches, waterfalls, finding true love. .....but strangely, when I do wake up my mind is clear and I feel inner peace, and forget all about my worries for just a moment and I have no problems at all ........

then ofcourse life happens
I go lie on my bed and think of my holiday on the beach in Pescara..
1. Make a list of everything on your mind.
2. Place a number out of ten next to them of how much you feel the issue will affect your week.
3. Go do something you enjoy - sports, video games, music, etc.
4. When you have a day off, or your longest free time, address each issue one by one in order of the importance you gave them.
5. Try to think about, solve or get help with the issue. Remember that even online there are people willing to help you through what you need to do.
6. When you have "solved" an issue, go ahead and give yourself a treat - buy a cool poster, or new music, or have a nice dinner.
7. Next time you are ready, try to address the next issue and you'll feel more confident having dealt with another.

I don't know if you are into anything spiritual but I am the same way, your just a thinker :) Though sometime so much is going on it starts to all take up space and you can't sort it?meditation really helps me or do whatever calms you and make sure you do it before you feel overwhelmed, doing it as a routine has helped me neutralise myself so it doesn't happen as much. Hope this helps.
write them down and prioritise them. concentrate on one and see it through b4 starting on the next. It will be much easier.
Also if things get too much learn to juggle. they say that jugglers concentrate on the balls and therefoore it takes mind off what you worrying about
Decide what you can change and what you can't. Worrying isn't going to change anything. So accept what you're worrying over and think about positive ways to deal with it. If you can do something to change it and make it better, do it.
In my opinion the mind can be trained and habits changed, just because this is happening to you now does not mean that you have to accept it as permanent, you can, to a large degree, by repeatedly willing yourself to, push thoughts from your mind and address what needs to be addressed. Every time your mind floods with invasive unwanted thoughts about other things, consciously push them away, after a while it will be something you can do at will. Best of Luck
