What's a worse obsession to have...?

[1.] Obsessing over something you've never had.
[2.] Obsessing over something you've had.

Explain!!

Answer:
That's a great question! I've been in both positions. I've pined for something I've had and I currently pine for something I'll never have (my child's health). This is a great illustration on how our focus directs our lives. I live my life in a fashion that surrounds how to achieve what I may never have while what I did have at one time, is more of bittersweet feeling. I suppose, it depends on which is more important to us at the moment.
Both are equally painful.
I have obsessed over a boyfriend I had to the point of making myself sick and I have obsessed over a potential boyfriend to the point of making myself sick. There isn't really any explanation that I can think of that says why it was like that. I think it has to do with human nature and our desire to have what we want, whether it is past or future.
not sure

obsessing about women is the worst though
I don't think there's a way to decide. On the one hand you have envy of others who have what you want, and on the other you have regret for letting it slip through your fingers.

There's a book published recently that says it all for us doll collectors: the title is "I Had That Doll!" (Note the exclamation point.) All collectors do this: Why didn't I hang onto it, take care of it, back when I could buy it at original market value? Now you look at a price guide and get dizzy!
I think #2 because you've had it and you know how it feels and you want it again, than you get desperate to try to get the same feeling again. But it's just the same with #1 cause you want to see how it fells and again u get desperate because u want to experience it forurself.
Obssessing over something you've had. We have a lot of temporary things happen in our lives and when we obssess over something that needed to end, it just prevents us from moving on to the things we've NEVER had. Obssessing over something you've never had should drive you to achieve that "thing" you are longing for. In regards to what we have had, we're just holding ourselves back from progress.
i think obsessing over something you never had is bad, because it could cause you to do something that you'll regret, just so you could get it. the bad thing about obsessing over something you have, though, is that you might neglect the ones you love and care about just for the thing.
I think obsessing over anything is unhealthy.
