Why are guys so dumb to act this way?
Why would he say things like that? How can he hope to get into a relationship with me by doing so?

well, it sounds like he thinks being critical equals being smart - and that he is trying to impress you that way. Or annoy you.
It would be interesting if you said " i could never be in any sort of relationship with someone as negative as you are." the response should be interesting, and might tell you why he thinks and acts that way.
I guess by trying to show to you how miserable his life is, he thinks it will persuade you to be with him. But if you dont like him, dont start something have a friendship, and be there for him because obviously something is wrong and you going out with him for pity aint going to fix that problem. All you can really do for him, is be his friend. Feels great to be desired though? lol
I hate it when people point out negative things in the world...like how an entire gender is so dumb.
He's just expressing his view on the world to you. Maybe he's hoping by sharing his thoughts with you, you might take an interest. Some guys do that, tell girls what they're thinking.
I guess you two just feel differently about the world. It would be dumberer if he wanted to get in a relationship you and told you lies about how he felt about the world.
So...you don't care about him at all, except to post questions here. So as long as you're being dishonest play along. Point out something and make a big deal about how much you hate it, nasty squirrels, always scurrying about. Puppies...yuk. If he disagrres with you then you know he's just disagreeing to disagree, which means he's insecure and trying to put on a front. If he jumps on the subject like, "Me too, we should kill them!" Then he's a freak and you should have him post here so I can help him too.
There are guys who are in the right time but are in a wrong place. This one tends to impress you through his philosophical stand. He desires an arena of conflicting ideas so he can show his mental ability to distort normality. Perhaps through this he thinks he can win you over. He wants you to think he's different and unique in his own negative way, and probably hopes that you could yield into sympathizing with him...which will give him the feeling of being on the same boat.
guys act like that thinking they can...ego says I can get her...I am powerful,she is just a a gal I'm hoping to get.it is not about love or knowing you ...hold strong and he will fade
