Im dead scared of arachnids and would love any! sugestions of how to get over this fear-canteven say the word?

Aww, that's unfortunate, Caz! As uncomfortable as it may be, some sort of gradual exposure to arachnids is probably one of the only ways to get over this phobia. I used to be terrified of snakes. Then my sister decided she LOVED snakes and got books on snakes and then pet snakes and I was quite upset, especially when the snakes escaped their cages. I was so terrified that I was going to get in bed and find a snake. Eventually they bothered me less, though. Although I still jump when I see a snake in the yard or something, I can bring myself to touch a pet snake. The point of all that? If you're like me, it might help you to have some sort of counseling that very gradually gets you comfortable around those little creepy crawlies. My dad does that therapy sometimes. It does NOT consist of bringing a live you-know-what in on the first session and scaring you. Maybe you look at the word on a card and when you get so you aren't full of discomfort anymore, the next time maybe there's a little cartoon picture of one or something, or maybe your counselor would help you be able to say the word without getting the willies. it's gradual, though.
You could try doing it yourself but I think it might be much easier if you were coached by a psychologist or something.
On the bright side, at least you aren't terrified of something unavoidable such as yellow, or doorknobs, or something else that you can't stay away from no matter where you are!

The only way would be to confront your fear. I would start by reading up on SPIDERS! You will discover how harmless and essential they are to our world. You ultimately might want to cautiously get close to a spider...one that is closed in a tank and can't get out.watch it and study it.

You probably will never completely get over this fear. I think it's a pretty natural fear for humans.for good reason. I personally can't stand SPIDERS! either.

But at least they aren't SNAKES ON A PLANE!!!

look up some info on aversion theraphy.its basically associating your fear with pleasant things and identifying the good in whatever your fear is.
confront your fear.
