Will my high iq help go into a good university?
ok, guys..
i did the test into the international iq society and i got in as a member.
If i pay to get a certificate of my score, will it help me to get into a good university like oxford?
if i get into mensa, will this gonna help me?
Answer:
No, top colleges have more than enough applicants who have demonstrated both intelligence and hard work by getting excellent grades and high SAT/ACT scores.
They prefer applicants who have shown something different, unique, in addition to some leadership and other obvious stuff.
So my advice is join the group if you're interested enough to do something special there. Otherwise, find some other place where you can shine.
you're going to need proof that the test you took is certified and even that can't guarantee anything.. what was your score?
While having a good IQ is a great thing. I think that you must also be a well rounded students involved in extracurricular actvities as well as have a good GPA.
It is a possibility. However, I highly doubt that universities of high stature will use it. Most universities want well rounded individuals. No offense, but just because you have a high IQ doesn't mean you should be considered more than students who work hard and have 4.0s. Not to say that you aren't a great student. I know a lot of people who are extremely intelligent and do nothing with themselves. Having a high IQ to me is only part of the answer. It's what you do with it that counts. So IQ alone I wouldn't think would land you acceptance into an elite school. Extra curricular activities are a huge plus. Most universities pick people who are unique and display a wide variety of interests.
