Is it possible to be hypnotized in order to remember someone's voice?

My father died when I was almost six. I don't remember a whole lot. It bothers me that I can't remember his voice. Where could I find someone who does that? Is it safe?

I would suggest hypnotism and maybe EMDR. Yes, they work and are safe. Look online for a therapist that uses these modalities. Good luck!
There is no such thing as hypnosis, it is a myth. I have been in psychology as a student and a therapist for more than 25 years and it is not a subject that I have ever seen presented at a conference or seriously discussed by psychologists. If you want to remember just try to focus on your current memories. Then try to remember any other sights, sounds, emotions and smells. Research as shown that emotions and smells are important cues in memory. Otherwise it may be that you can't remember more. The way that a child and adult store and find memories are different. Often most of us don't have many childhood memories or they are fragmented. Try to not get upset, it will cause more difficulty with finding memeories,
