Try approching charitys like homeless shelters and drug counsellors they sometimes take on volanteers to help out and return the favor in training. I worked in a homeless shelter in peterborough years ago and they trained me
I don't think you'll land a job in psychology or counseling because so many people have graduated in those fields that the competition will be very keen. If that's what you want to do then go back to college for a minor.or second degree. (specialize)
