Something that not only touched me deeply, but also saddened me greatly...?
I was walking in a very old cemetery..and saw several tombstones of teens...there pictures were on their tombstones...this made me feel so sad.(I think that they passed away in the 1990's or later than this!)It was fairly recent!
Has this kind of thing ever happened to you,and what did you do when you saw these young people?
For me, it was a horrible stunning moment! I just said some small prayers for them..and told them that they were always loved! Still!
That is a hard harsh thing to have to know about or see...ya know?
what about you all?
Answer:
I get weepy at the roadside memorials to teens who died in car wrecks because of drunks
Yes, I understand the feeling
I travel a route from Cincinnati to Louisville know as I 71 several times a year. At the midway point there is a place marked by a sign where over 40 young people, and adults died in a horrific bus crash. They were part of a church group on their way home from an amusement park and were hit head on by a drunk driver causing an explosion. It was the largest bus disaster in US history at the time (1988). I was 19 when it happened, but I am reminded and quietly say a prayer everytime I pass the marker. So yes, I understand how you feel.
Empathy is a good trait!
I lost 3 of my closest friends in 2 years time and it is devastating. They were all in their early 20's. It really does make you think about your life and how quickly it can be taken away. One more reason to live each day to the fullest and to tell those you love how you feel about them. When I go to the cemetary with my wife to see her Dad, I always walk around and see so many sad tombstones and wonder what happened to them being so young. I think you did the right thing. Say a prayer for them to be at peace and surrounded by love. It's all we can do..that and to learn from the experience.
This is nothing that has happened to me but it makes me feel very sad every time When I hear the song Alyssa Lies, or Concrete Angel it breaks my heart every time. I can't stand to think that innocent children die everyday at the hand of their abusers. It makes me look at my daughter and think how can someone be so filled with rage that they could kill a child. I think to myself what if my daughter came home from school and told me about one of her little friends was being hurt, I hope that I could help a child and not ignore as so many do. But that is what saddens me the most.
It's kinda creepy for those who seldom experience death. However, it's natural. People come and go.
we had a loss of a soldier in iraq, he was only 19, it hasn't quite been a month yet. my son idolized him. and now he's gone. never to play xbox 360-halo again. never to be with us again.
I had a friend in high school, he was great. He loved the theater and went to church every week. He was the most pure and honest person I knew. He went away to college and before classes ever started he got a little nervous. He decided to drive to go to his own church back home so he could feel more comfortable in his new environment. He was killed in a car crash half way there. I will never forget him. I think about him everyday. He is the reason I live the way I do now. He always put a smile on your face. Even when things weren't going his way, he still kept faith. That is what I do now. I don't let the little things get me down. I just remember him and every problem that I did have seems so small.
Well I wonder what happened then I thnk, eerthing happens for a reason. They are in a happier place. They could have gone due to health issues or tragedies..who knows..but they are not here with us...there loss touched someone they loved. I wonder about the living relatives more to tell you the truth.
it is sad and really horrible...you will really feel sad about them because they died at young ages. Perhaps, God has a plan for everything...those teens might already being carried in awoman's womb again..for a better life..reincarnation...
i believe with that..if things happen like death, there certainly is a purpose. life is like that, people go. but we must remeber that born children are a sign that life is continous..
