What is a Peer Subculture?

In a journal response in my Social Psychology class I am asked what is an example of one.

Answer:
Your peers are generally thought to be those within your age group. A subculture would be a specific group of individuals within your peer group sharing the same likes, dislikes, or behaviors.
Some examples within the 15-16 year (or whatever age) peer group might be:
Goths
Hip-hoppers
Jocks
Nerds
