Is it possible for someone to like being depressed?
because i think i might...i don't know. is it that i like it or that it's been almost a couple years, so it's become a part of me?
Answer:
I'm not sure if it's liking it. But I do know how to feel. I've had depression for about 5years and I really can't imagine being happy again. (I'm 17). Im just use to feeling like this, even though I shouldn't.
Seek help though. Depression is curable.
YES, some people like gloom and doom
I thought that was what the whole Gothic scene was about..who can be the most depressed??so the answer has to be yes AND it has become part of who you are.
I think that depends on your level of depression. If you are severely depressed, you don't care enough to even form that thought. Low to moderate depression can sometimes seem dramatic and passionate so I could see where somone might find it interesting enough to revisit.
I don't think so if it's clinical depression we are speaking of.
i thought i liked being depressed too.
it gives me a different feeling.
instead of always being happpy.
sometimes i try to force myself to be depressed.

Being depressed, depleting your bank account because your car broke, cat has to go to vet and cost your $200. etc. etc. I know I am and everything that happens pushes me down more. Life is just big freaking pile of crap.
There is a magor difference between depression and what you may be dealing with.
Depression is when something or someone(and event or person in your life) has effected you in a negative way, in result, your confidence, happiness, stability, love life, physical and mental helf all plummit. And you are NOT happy.
Your case, something of equal definition has effected you in such a way that makes you defined and different. You enjoy the feeling. I cna't explain it exactly, but for example:
When you are a kid and your cat dies, you whine and cry, with a certain impression in your head, telling you that's what it is.
It's attention and meaning in your life. Some people like that.
If you cannot overcome your emotions then U must be addicted to them...like any addiction it becomes apart of you and is therefore difficult to move on from.not impossible though.just difficult
Yeah, I mean I think I do, maybe because I'm used to feeling this way
For some people, I think, they might like being depressed sometime but they should not all the time since normal people with good physical and mental health should know how to cope with everything they need to do with relaxation and reasons. In other words, they should learn to be more positive mentally rather than negative.
Yes of course to wallow in sadness is always much easier than attempting to overcome and ride over obstacles.
