Why do I feel as though everything that I feel and go through isn't happening to me?
Answer:
Actually, your feelings of dissociation aren't too unnatural. It can be a defense mechanism in dealing with feelings of anxiety, stress, and panic and can accompany depression.
There are a wide range of disorders that have this as a symptom. Depersonalization disorder, Dissociative Amnesia, and Dissociative Fugue states, to name some. You may want to look into these to see if they share any other symptoms you might be feeling.
If I understand you correctly, it sounds much like something I went through with my depression. It felt like I wasn't in my life, like I was watching all this stuff on TV or something. Like my life was being filtered through a camcoder and I was watching the tape.
Regardless, this is having a big impact on your life. Seek the help of a professional. They can put you on a treatment or therapy to help you get your life back to normal again.
Chrissy,
If you are feeling something that makes you feel so bad you want to die, and so much so that you tell it to total strangers here, broadcast it to the world, you should call your local Crisis Services center, or the DBSA Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. TONIGHT.
Whatever you are feeling (I suspect it is organic, brain chemistry imbalance if this has just come over you for no apparent reason, and not your "fault", but I am not a professional), please do not leave us.
maybe you need to go see a doctor or to mental heath.it could be a health proplem or could be depression not sure, dont do anything to hurt yourself.get help soon.take care
Sounds to me that you feel that you are living your life too quickly. There isn't enough time to accomplish what you want due to work hours, money, or whatever.
It could be that you had many things planned to do before this age, but you haven't done them or aren't where you want to be.
I recommend slowing down, take some time off and meet some new people. Things may have gotten too routine.
Anyway, that's my shot in the dark. I wish you good times.
