Full moon and strange behaviour?,'Can it really drive you mad?
Answer:
Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behaviour around the time of a full moon [5]. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect. In one instance, the December 23, 2000 issue of the British Medical Journal published two studies on dog bite admission to hospitals in England and Australia. The study of the Bradford Royal Infirmary found that dog bites were twice as common during a full moon, whereas the study conducted by the public hospitals in Australia found that they were less likely. Psychologists point out that there is a difference between correlation and causation. The mere fact that two events happen at the same time doesn't mean that there is a cause and effect relationship between the two.

I asked this question a while ago and I came to the conclusion that it doesn't.check my questions
its where lunatic comes from lunar
Yes! and No! If you ponder it long enough then I'm sure it can but the etymology of the word is based more on superstition than observable fact (not in itself a condemnation). Since the so called dark ages and the codification of heresies and superstitions as well as witch craft particular potency has been given to a full moon so who knows.
Also I have taken your question to mean 'can a full moon induce strange behaviour' which I suspect has more to do with a persons convictions about full moons, if they believe it enough possibly!? However should you mean can all the talk of full moons and strange behaviour drive you mad I seriously doubt it.
it is said that weird things happen in full moon, whether or not its true i have no idea, havent personally witnessed the truth in that.
I believe that a full moon can have an affect on someones mood.
The moon controls the tides and since we are 90% water. Why not? It makes sense.
Statistics have shown that a full moon definitely has an effect on human behavior...whether or not it can actually drive you mad, I've no clue.
EDIT: I believe it has something to do with the extra light and/or gravity.
perhaps people living in lofts (Lunattic's)
I reckon so. The female menstrual cycle works in harmony with the moon and typically lasts 28 days so this suggests that the movement of the moon has some effect on the human body and possibly on behaviour. There are lots of examples cited as evidence, e.g. there are more crimes commited and more accidents around the time of a full moon. I work in a school and find the pupils often go a bit mental round the time of the full moon.
When we lived as hunter gatherers, full moon was the time to hunt just because we could see things to hunt.
Other animals also hunt more at full moon, animals that prey on humans wolves for example.
Over millions of years we built up this hunt and hide from hunters reflex when there is a full moon.
Few of us now need to hunt for food or run from wolves but the old response to full moons is still there causing strange behaviour every month
I worked as a supervisor in a mental health facility and when there was a full moon I know I would have a very busy night. Believe it or not but it always stood true.
Well, I used to be a werewolf, but I am alright noooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...
