Male psychology?
Answer:
Come right out and say what you think.
Realize that he might have found a girlfriend that satisfies him physically and intellectually and might be out of steam for any further deep discussions in chatrooms.
You can't keep the same level of exciting friendship with someone over the line. Sooner or later a 3 dimensional person will take hold of their hearts and minds.
Tell him that you consider him as a buddy and let him know you miss him, if you sound too needy, that will turn him off aswell.
Hope this helps and wish you luck.
i think you should just ask him. communication is the key in any sort of relationship or friendship. Tell him if he feels awkward and you feel that he is avoiding you. He may feel that you are getting way too close and that the age difference isnt right. maybe not.
I personally think that you have more than friendly feelings for him. Try to talk it out.
I think that the only way that you're going to resolve this is to come right out and ask him what changed in the relationship.
Some time you have to be direct and just ask. I hope that you're able to resolve the problem and regain your friendship.
I did this once to someone but it was because of this reason: My friend, who was a male, used to chat with me almost every day. We were very close friends but then he started to like me as more than a friend. A couple of things he said bothered me a great deal. He never did anything TO me, per say, it's just that he quit his job with no other job lined up and also confessed to me that he was a recovery. (had been clean for 4 years). I was just thinking that I didn't want this to go any further to where he might want to actually meet me because really I just wanted to be friends. So now whenever he IM's me, I am polite but I don't talk very long and I've been a lot more evasive. It could be something like that... maybe you said something that got him thinking it was getting wierd for him. Maybe he decided there was a more productive use of his time than idle chatting. Who knows? There's always a bunch more friends you can make online, so just move on.
