Cynical people here LOL?
my question:
reading posts, there are just so many cynical, mean, unhelpful people posting, sharing and spreading crap advice or their negative take on the world. My question is why? Do they think they are helping or being supportive.what is the advantage in being vengful or cynical?

You're probably just asking that so you can laugh at us when we answer.
blows off some steam. sometimes I write rediculous answers to what I feel are stupid questions just to get a good laugh. Some people just have a twisted sense of what is funny or like to put others down for their own pleasure.
I think some people are being just mean for sake of being mean. It's an outlet for them.
Some people are just spreading thier own version of crap so answer them however you like. This is pretty anonymous, you can say whatever you want to someone's question.
Sometimes though the questions are bizarre. Like the guy getting out of med school and he's afraid to operate. That can't be a real question so I answered kind of rudely.
After reading a bunch of questions, you get to know that some have to be fake, and if they are not, then the people really need a wake up call.

I'm a cynical person but when I answer questions I answer them seriously and give them real thought. If someone is giving you answers, most likely they're just a miserable person. Or else they are just being brutally honest, which is sometimes a good thing but can be hard to take.
I'm not sure why they do it. I always try to be helpful and kind because the person posting may really need my advice.
There is no advantage other than to feel superior to others. I think that negative people need to cut others down to feel better about themselves. So as with everything in life you just ignore the bad and focus on the good and the positive. The bad usually goes away like a bad smell.
Cynical people are not always vengeful. Cynical people are not always mean or unhelpful. I'm not sure you have the right definition of cynicism.
Just because you're doubtful doesn't mean you're vengeful, mean, or even always negative. I am a very cynical person, I always doubt things and I have a tendency towards mistrust... but if I can see that someone is serious and needs help or is honestly curious about something, then I'll give an honest and serious answer...
If you ask me, this question sounds a bit pessimistic...
But as for the people who are mean and unhelpful and always negative... maybe they are cynical, but not all cynics are like that... and them... well.. they probably have self-esteem issues.
