What do you say to someone who might be on the verge of losing everything?
I don't know what I will be able to tell him if when he'll call me tomorrow after getting the diagnosis.
I need advice from people who had similar experiences.
The boy is 21 and I love him as if he was my own son.

MS is not a death sentence - there are medicines out there - quite a few in fact - that can help slow the progression - especially if the diagnosis is made early.
Do an internet search on MS with your friend and look at the options. The more you know about an illness, the more you can control its outcome.

If its bad news you have to let him know that you will be there for him...tell him that you love him, and will do anything you can to make this better for him...even if you have to cry in your own time make sure when you are with him you are strong..Good luck, you and him are in my prayers.
there is nothing you can say. but, there is something you can do for him. that's be there for him as much as you possibly can be. let him feel your love and compassion for him and let him know that you are there for anything that he needs. GOD BLESS you and him and his family.
Just speak from your heart whatever it is you are feeling for him and let him know you are there for him no matter what and that you do view him as your own son.
