Is it normal for you to dream that you are someone else?
I just wanted to know if this is normal and if anyone else had dreamt like this.
Answer:
Certainly it is normal. I have experienced it. Sometimes you are like a narrator in a dream; all seeing, all knowing but apart from the events.
Sometimes we dream as alters of our ego or id personalities which we all have. In other words you can't imagine doing something yourself, so your alter-ego or in the case of what we often consider "bad" or "politically incorrect" your id does for you. It is the most selfish part of the personality, but also serves many functions that are not necessarily anti-social or amoral; such as self-preservation.
If you want to remember more of your dreams, try not moving when you awaken. Just lie there and the dreams will usually come back to you.
Its normal sometimes we dream about the lives we want or the people we rather be.
i am assuming that is is I think especially if we were to idolize a person that wew would like to be llike
Several years ago I had a few dreams like this, but I didn't consider them anything more than "interesting".
I hope so, because I've been Wilford Brimley every night for the last 10 years!

It’s normal to have dreams about being someone else. I would just wonder and ask myself what aspects of these people do I like, admire, dislike, are similar to me, are different from me, or what roles do these people play in my life. I would reflect on any issues that are going on with me that would make me want to dream about not being myself.
