My parents have too high expectations about me, how can I deal with this?
I'm 15, my parents are good but expect too much from me. I've never got in trouble, I'm an honor student. I do my best to do meet their expectations, they are my expectations too. But that's been kinda stressful, sometimes I wish I weren't what I am. Life is unfair. If, at any age, you're someone that sometimes makes mistakes, everyone says it's normal, it's human nature. But if you are an icon (I'm not) and make a mistake, then you're screwed up. Mistakes usually considered normal leads you to hell. This is kinda unfair, and a 55 yo brilliant, but extremely frustrated engineer, told me about this. I'm human and can mess up. My parents trust I wont, but I'm enough wise not to trust myself, how can I say I'll never mess up? I'm not God. Now I see my parents are kinda selfish. They don't love me, they don't care about me, they just want to say to their friends they are proud of their daughter. It doesn't matter if I'm happy or not. If I ever messed up, they will execrate me.

All you can do is try your best. Not for your parents, but for yourself. Everyone is bound to make mistakes and if your parents don't know that then shame on them. Just continue what you are doing. Be a good kid, you'll get far in life. Trust me.
You cannot change your parents. All you can do is the best that you can do for yourself. Try not to stress about how your parents behave towards you. Focus on all the good things you have. It could be a lot worse.
You only have 3 years left until you are 18. Then you can leave. However, I suggest that if your parents are willing to pay for you to go to college, go. Learn all you can, become a confident, competent adult, and stand on your own two feet. Parents can be incredible pains in the you-know-what. BUT, you only have to put up with them temporarily.
you are smart enough to realize that its not your problem. life is what YOU make of it. parents will be parents. if all theyre after is "bragging rights", then so be it. as long as they dont beat you, just keep doing what youre doing for the next three years. once you turn 18 they can either accept you for the person you are, or
get a puppy so they can train IT to their specifications. hang in there sweetie, it gets easier, i promise.
you gotta remember nobodies perfect. but your mom and dad do love you maybe they just don't know how to show it. it helps if you have someone to talk to. it really does help.
duh, stop trying so hard? just do whatever you want and stop going to school so much.
tell them you aren't their pet
