What makes somebody easy to pick on?
Answer:
Most people take kindness for weakness.
No, people who are mean pick on other people.
A lot of people do it especially when they think that they will never be held accountable for their actions, however, that is a myth.
Sowing and reaping are laws.
They cannot be broken, you can only break yourself against them.
People who are being picked on have a resource they often cannot see, other people who are tired of it.
There are great ways to repel the wrong when numbers of people are involved.
It is always good to turn the fear tables back onto the person trying to control others with fear.
Doodad
people that pick on others only do it to boost their own confidence
i think it is a mixture of both... I'm sure that the "bullies" or people doing the picking, have some issues of their own, maybe they are short down there, or maybe there parents hate them, they need a self esteem boost, so how they do this is by picking on other people, while simultaneously bringing up there ego, back to normal. it depends on the attributes of the bully to make attributes of the prey.. i mean, a skinny bully is most likely going to pick on a skinny bully, maybe one he knows he can beat, and maybe one who wont have reactions to the force... i know i get picked on mostly by "preppy" kids because i am "punk" and that's a no no to be nice to "punks"
People get picked on much like a lioness stalking a herd. The lioness looks for the weakest animal, the one who will offer the least resistance and attacks without mercy.
The bully finds someone whom he thinks is inferior to himself.
Criteria for a bully include but is not limited to the following:
1. physical-is the intended victim small, fat etc. Typically fat people are prime targets
2. the victims resolve-will the intended victim defend himself in any way
3. the victims character or a misrepresentation of character-is the victim a known "sissy" "geek" nerd or any one of dozens of classifations. also, does the intended victim spend a lot of time alone, is he a bookworm, does he make others look bad because of his intelligence. Please note that I am assuming the bully and victim are under 19.
4. sexual orientation-I dont have to say a word do I?
5. class status-is the victim rich, poor, what part of town does the victim live in?
6 entertainment value- will teasing or picking on the victim provide entertainment not only for the bully but for onlookers as well? It is well known that the more bullies there are the more fun it can be
In my past I picked on a couple of people while in high school
and I really dont know why. But I am ashamed of it and wish I could undo some things I did. I never physically hurt anyone
but I was pretty mouthy when it just wasnt necessary.
