Motivation?

How can I keep myself motivated? I am looking for a job, I have been to five interviews and I have not managed to ow do I keep my self going?

Answer:
There is no cure for being unmotivated. If it's not something you like to do, you're likely not going to be able to make yourself like doing it. You just have to do it. Like exercising. Most people who exercise don't do it because they like it, but because of its benefits. You have to realize that you need to do this, motivated or not, it's something you have to do. If you don't, what'll happen?

one way to look at things is to tell yourself that when they reject you, they are missing out on a hard worker... Too bad for them !!

Just don't give up - sometimes it takes a while to get that job you want. Patience is a virtue as they say (not always easy) but i'm sure some day soon a company will recognise your potential ..:-)

Good luck hunting..:-)
Write a list of everything positive that will come out of getting a job in nice bold colours, then print them off as a reminder for when you feel like giving up.

Take Care
Good Luck
dont worry just tell yourself its their loss not yours..keep trying x
Great question. I suggest you do what you are doing now. By talking about it your keeping your struggle alive you haven`t given up.
I think you should keep talking about it and Keep a journal.
Outline your goals and log in your day to day progress.
U may also want to read a book on how to do well in job
interviews, sprucing up your resume may help as well.
Good Luck.Got to keep it Pushin!
Realize that the ones you didn't get probably weren't going to be a good fit as far as personality or maybe even skills.

Keep looking because you will find a good group of people that you will click with.

Next I would say expand your search to other types of work. Perhaps it is time for you to move up in your career.

Lastly I would say take some quiet time to yourself. Think about what you really want in life and where you want to be. Write down every detail about where you want to be. Include your perfect man/woman, perfect job, perfect car, perfect house, etc and list as much detail as possible.

Simply knowing exactly what you want will set a positive trend in your life and help you recognize the right opportunites when they come.
Being broke and un comfortable is a good motivation. If your check book does not motivate you and some how your comfortable without a job. Then you can not make yourself want to job hunt. When you need or want a job bad enough the number of failed interviews does not matter, you keep going till you get one.
Do what you will. Unless it's mass murder or something, nobody will stop you.
sometimes u have to take a job u dont necessarily want or c urself doing to keep urself going. then when ur experience builds, along with ur confidence, u will have more ammo.

i had a 3.9 g.p.a, until i met my x during my senior yr, yes i blame her! just kidding. in '05 i graduated with a b.s. in accounting. everything seemed promising, until month after month in a very still job market, i couldnt find a job. i had no experience. it was very depressing, i felt like a failure, i couldnt support my household. but i had to keep reminding myself of how i got as far as i did, n why i wanted to be successful. i also had to redefine what success was for me.

so i settled for customer service positions, sales positions. long story short, i'm still not an accountant, but i found a job i enjoy. i make good money. it's in a great environment.

never give up, but maybe u have to give up on the specifics of what ur looking for, n look for something else ur not.
It is very easy to get discouraged when things are not going as planned. That is natural. The important thing is not that you did not get the job, the important thing is how you react to it.

You have two choices - keep trying or give up. If you give up you will be no better off than you are now. In fact you may be worse off. No use in doing that.

If you keep trying you may and will eventually succeed. So in my view you have no choice but to keep trying. Only as the saying goes "if you want to keep on getting what you are getting, keep doing what you are doing." So may be you have to do something differently.

analyze what happened and learn your lessons from it. That's very important because it will allow you to improve and get better at things. The biggest mistake you can make is not to learn from your mistakes.

Lastly, take the optimistic rather than the pessimistic view of things:
1. It's not all your fault.
2. It's only a temporary setback, not a permanent situation.
3. There are other positive things going on around you. capitalise and focus on them. One bad event or failure to get a job doesnt make everything bad.

Don't quit. You can read more on this at the website below.
write down your goals and stick it on your wall, so you wake up and see it every morning. keep going for those interviews and if you get the job, award yourself!
