Is the word " SPADE " offencive?

I've heard "spades" being used as the opposite of "whites", but I have absolutely no idea what it means...

In what context? If your calling a person a spade then yes it would be offensive, but not if your talking about a digging tool or cards!!

No , it is a proper word. It is only offensive when it is purposely used in an offensive way. i.e. to insult a person whose skin colour is not white.

but as for calling people of another race a "spade",
