What would you do if your best friend was being disrespectful and have a negative affect on others on your job
Answer:
..I'd give my best friend feedback. I'd say, "Something you're doing is causing me problems. Can we talk about it?" And then I'd say something positive about my friend, followed by this -
1. Describe the specific behavior
2. Explain why it's causing me problems
3. State how I feel about it
4. Describe the desired behavior
5. Ask for commitment to change the behavior
Question what this is about. Ask why. Tell how it makes you feel. If met with resistance, this is no friend.
in life people have around 3 good friends during their entire life. Never assume that acquaintances are your friends, just because they do what you just had done to you. So never give them any personal information or your innermost thoughts or they will turn on you like this one did.
These days there is so much competition that one never knows really why (even years later) why someone has tried to make another person look bad, especially on the job. Maybe their friend is trying to get a job, or maybe they want your job, or maybe they want to pretend they can manage people well and are trying to prove something.
I don't know what your goals are, how long you plan to stay at this particular job, or if you plan to move up within the company. The best thing you can do is to prepare your resume and if anything happens then get a reference (or letter of recommendation from your boss) and go look elsewhere for work. If you want to stay on the job then you have to ignore what other people try to do to you. You work for your boss, then just please your boss.
Since the internet arrived, no one shows respect anymore, and no one on a job shows loyalty anymore either. You have self-respect and that's what IS important.
