If it was up to you alone could you stop fighting and find a friendlier way of overcoming different opinions?
Answer:
You are right...
The only world that exists is the one you imagine it to be. If you see fighting, it is your mind fighting against what is being seen. If you see desecration, it is your mind believing that desecration is happening.
When you see everything is exactly as it should be, then all war inside you drops away. The thing is is that you have to come to that realization inside you before your own opposing behavior stops. I'm not saying you condone everything happening around you. I'm saying that you choose to act peacefully and unopposingly to what is going on around you. THEIR war is not your war. THEIR fighting doesn't automatically call you into it. And if they turn to you and ask you why you are not participating, you can explain peacefully. Either they'll get it or they won't. Whichever is ok and totally up to them. But, when they are ready for peace, they know who to turn to for help - you, as you are the clear example of it.
Yes there is a way, if everyone would agree that they disagree on some issues or opinions. Then there would be world peace. Build bridges to other peoples islands instead of taking them down. This called acceptance of other's realities, being open-minded.
If it was up to me alone, there wouldnt be a disagreement would there? I dont disagree with myself that often.
While what you say is nice, its also pretty naive. It assumes that all the problems in the world are caused by differing opinions. But what happens when the government has the opinion that its people are the slaves, who should be worked as hard as possible to provide the most possible revenue to the government? What happens when the people of one religion have the opinion that the people of another religion should be all be killed for being infidels? Believe me, I do wish peace was truly within reach, but I just cant imagine how it will happen.
yes it can make difference n peace..if only everyone agrees that they r wrong in some or other way...
