Psychology of a child molester?

why do they do what they do?

Answer:
Some suggest that molesters themselves were abused in their childhood. Others argue it can be experimental. Some minds think it may be mental illness that makes them deviant. Who knows. It also requires a person that is self-absorbed and they don't care about the psychological damage done to their victims. One thing that I can answer is that child molesters have a high recidivism rate.
I would think it would have something to do with how they were raised, I mean think about how a person would behave and what they're attitude would be like if they were never taught manners as a youngin?
first lets just say if you're a victim or someone you know is report it. keep reporting it until someone takes you seriously. Until people report these crimes there is no way to stop victimization.
I think it's about power and control. these sick SOB's are ill but also on a power trip. no explanation really but it's the same with any violent sex crime it's about power and control.
Yeah, I know. These people are mentally sick, and children are an easy prey because they wouldn't know what it means to be molested anyways. It's sick, I know.
