Are people with aspergers aware of there symptom's?
Is it possible for someone to naturally compensate for there symtomes so that the underlying problom's are not clear?
Answer:
I have AS. When I was growing up, I realized that I was different. It wasn't until last year that I was diagnosed. I had a lot of symptoms that I didn't know were symptoms. I've tried to consciously eliminate as many as I could, but there are still plenty left. I only tried compensating after I was diagnosed.
Yes both of my son's have it... Both are aware... But both view themselves as completely normal... Everyone else is nuts...
I think it depends on the sevarity of the spectrum as to the degree of awareness one has..
