If a Person Sucks in his/her Academics, do you think that person is an Idiot or a retard?
They say that just because a person is not good in Academics, it does not mean that that person is an idiot or a retard, but the thing is, I don't know if it's true. What is the Truth?
Answer:
No, the person can be a genius but too lazy to study.
nope, he/she must be better at something else.
no. maybe, she/he is not just interersted to study in the present time. not all who fails academics are idiots
Most of those who made diffidence in life and in the world's history were neither good in academics nor finished their high school's education.Does this reality answer your question?
The truth is...
If a person has difficulty with his or her academic studies it may mean they are:
1. Human
2. Someone with a learning disability
3. Someone who is mentally handicapped (retarded)
There is no way for anyone to know for sure without proper testing.
The truth is, you may never know. There are many reasons why people don't do well in school and it may not be related to IQ. I did very bad. Mostly Cs, but Ds and Fs also. Flunked one year.
At the age of 45 I went back to school, a university. I now have a bachelors and masters degree and had a 3.5+ average. Not bad for a dummy.
By the way. Idiot and retard are not very nice terms, in fact, they are downright insulting. Some people have diminished IQs or are slow learners for various reasons including; damage to the brain, learning problems, dyslexia, etc. They are still human just as much as you are and deserve respect as such.
there are other kinds of intelligence that tie into central intelligence.
academics and grades are hardly ever accurate depictions of a persons intelligence.
even asking this question is suggesting that there's a lack of intelligence with your sense of compassion.
that is called emotional intelligence. it is intuitive and pretty much takes up the whole right hemisphere of your brain. nice going.
i must be a retard then
i average $4000.00 per week(and growing) working for myself in my own business..i failed badly academicly
but i am happy to be a retard...if i was good at academics i might be earning $800.00 per week
you work it out
education holds back a persons full potential
No, it doesn't mean they're retarted or anything like that (necessarily). It could mean they just don't feel like trying it or that that they hate the teacher. Maybe they even have just something else that's more important that they're worrying about, and school and academics aren't their first priority. They could also have other talents. Some people even pretend to be an idiot to get attention, or do it to distract other people from flaws they think they have.
An example: I know people who really aren't school people, but they've got talents outside of school that any "well-educated" person would be jealous of. Like my friend who can cook (her food is like a morsel of everything you've ever desired, melting in your mouth), she's starting her own business selling cakes and pastries. Most geeks and tekkies can't do that, so fooie to them.
Some people just aren't the greatest at school, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Intelligence cannot be identified only by grades. I have straight As, but when it comes to playing the violin I sound like a wailing cat. I know someone who plays four instruments but her grades are only average. Different factors or problems affect the general performance of a student in academics. Even IQ testing isn't completely accurate.
