What are good ways to calm down nerves at job interviews?

Answer:
Try to harness your nerves into positive energy. It really helps to smile right when you greet him and the words will just flow enthusiastically. To calm down, try slow abdominal breathing, and tense and relax each muscle group, since a calm mind needs to be in a calm body. I've also heard that bachs rescue remedy works, I havent tried it yet. Try to focus on the present and what you want to tell him rather than any nervous symptyom that may be bugging you. Rubbing you ears also helps beforehand, grasp your ear lobes and pull from the top to the bottem for a couple minutes. It feels good. just dont forget to breathe and be happy!!
Just before I go to an interview I chew gum, it's relaxing, just remember to get rid of it before you go in
try bachs rescue remedy
you just have to get used to interviewing...it is hard to just walk in and do...one thing i have done is to apply for jobs i know i don't want but use that interview to practice for the interview on the job i want...lets me get all those stupid comments out on the bad job and be prepared for the good one...hope it helps
take 20 slow following 5 deep breath and then count in ur mind 100 to 1 ll make ur brain alert
and "congratulations u got the job."
Go for positions you are confident about. Make sure you have done your homework on the position you are applying for. Attend a class that teaches you interview techniques. Practice with someone what you are going to say. Make sure you arrive 10 mins early so that you can collect your thoughts before your appointment. Perhaps you can practice going for interviews you are over qualified for or at least not interested in. They say practice makes perfect.
Imagine your not going for an interview, your going for a chat, about a subject you have researched, find out about them and know their business first. When you arrive be positive about everything, try to feel positive. Comment on how good things are how nice the receptionist was, how good the premises look. Feel good by dressing well and relax
Masturbation.
Try to have two or three interviews to go to in one day and go to each one with this in mind. If I don't get hired at this one,Then it will be their loss and your gain. The one that hires you was meant to be.Remember,Keep calm and breath slowly and deeply. If they dont hire you.it's not the end of the world.
Get yourself well prepared before hand. Research the company and what it does, find out what the job role involves, and think of ways to discuss that intelligently. It soon becomes clear in an interview if the candidate has been bothered to do some research, that can only stand you in good stead.

Give yourself plenty of time to arrive unhassled, and go in with the confidence you probably know more about it than the interviewer!
1. Dress smart, in something you know suits you and makes you feel in control. It's a lot easier to do things when you know you look good!

2. Wear some of your favourite scent. Sort of like aromatherapy!

3. "Think past" the experience. Tell yourself, "Two hours from now" (or whatever) "it will all be over." Imagne yourself leaving the interview with a smile on your face, having made a great impression.

4. Remember, they need someone to fill that job, they're the ones advertising. You are not begging for money, but offering your knowledge as a service.

5. Treat yourself afterwards, whether it be a cappuchino, that CD you've been wanting, or lunch. This "carrot" promise is something you can hold out to yourself..."just get through the next (however long) and you can have this."

6. If the interview is more than 24 hrs away, listen to music that helps you relax, take a hot shower or bath, and get enough sleep the night before. Eat a good breakfast, it's hard to think straight when you're hungry and your blood sugar is low.
Stay quiet, when you can.
Relax
Think possitively
simple just believe in yourself and be confident. if you now you can do the job think to your self in your interview.now problem i can do it I'm calm and ill get the job. before you go in and the night before your interview take nice deep breaths though your nose and exhale though your mouth relax and think of the outcome when you get your new job.
