How do you join Mensa?

I know that you need to be within the top 2% of the nation, but where do you go to join? How much does it cost? What's the break off point for IQ currently?

Answer:

i think the cut off IQ is 144. you can contact a Mensa chapter in your area or online. there are tests you have to take. at that point i'm not sure what happens...
If you need to ask this question, you don't qualify.
Different tests use different "IQ scores", so the actual number will vary depending on the test used.

American Mensa publishes a list of qualifying scores on various tests here, http://www.us.mensa.org/content/aml/navi...

You can also take a proctored admissions test. Info is provided here, http://www.us.mensa.org/content/aml/navi...

Here's a quick summary of some qualifying test scores. Some of the tests are no longer accepted, so make sure to read the details on the Mensa site.
