What kinid of question do Psychiatrist ask to determine if some one is stable?
He is not unstable but they seem to think so because of one thing he said to them at dairy queen.

Very difficult to give such a limited response here, but I hope this helps. Therapists are not always so much interested in WHAT people say, but more in HOW they say it. In order words, its not so bad to have a few flaws and admit them, its rather important to be able to explain how you cope with lifes struggles, and be honest about your weaknesses, and what you do to address them. They are not looking for perfect people, they are looking for people who are honest enough to work on their own flaws.
No one can answer this question without knowing what he said.
There are several questions experts ask to see if your mentally unstable. Then obvious are...do you ever have suicidal thoughts? Do you ever hear people talking that aren't there? Do you think you have multiple personalities?
What exactly did he say? It must have been something pretty big for them to think he is unstable because of that. Has he tried to apologize or clarify what he was trying to say and explain it was a misunderstanding? Otherwise, they just ask questions to get an idea of what the person considers good parenting. He also must show he is compassionate, fair, level-headed, patient, and understanding.
well, pshychologists tlk 2 the ppl, not psychiatrists. Psychiatrists r the ones that give u medicine if the pshycologist thinks they're depressed or w/e. && usually they start by asking questions about how ur day was && stuff and it'll lad into ur childhood and family life cuz if they think sumthings wrong w/ him they'll want to know why && what it is. so they'll probably jus ask about his past..
