Harsh and rude are synonymous. They both imply a lack of tact.
freak
Silence is a killer
he's just not that into you
You are not a gentlemen (in a very serious tone)
Wow that hurt alot...seriously it did
"At least you're trying"
Honestly my answer would be nothing. I have a friend whom walks into my home without speaking a word to anyone who is in my house. She may be on her phone or whatever and then she keeps talking as IF she is somebody. Did her mother teach her any manners?
Telling you the truth about what they think about you especially if you have different aspirations in life.
Well last year I went back to my home country to see relatives I hadnt seen in 4 years and the first thing alot of them said to me was "Youve put on weight". I thought it was harsh but they thought it was just a fine thing to say.
By saying nothing at all.
"Is that the best you can do?"
The harshest thing said to me was said by my friend when she said that the career which I've dreamt of all over my life wasn't important at all. She said it doesn't benefit anyone and who is this who chooses such a job. when I heard her I didn't feel it's rude, she said it in a gallant way, you know. But she really made me the most upset person in the universe. You know, just feeling that you don't benifit anyone and that you aren't usefull is really horrible.
Why be harsh? It only makes a person defensive. If you have something you feel will be helpful to person, but you are in the company of others, and your comment might be considered hurtful, just make it possible to separate the two of you from the group and tell the person as kindly as possible what you want to say.
have someone, usually a friend or family member, be blunt and honest about your shortcomings no one likes to actually hear out loud their faults and they dont need to be said rudely to be harsh
