Answer:
i was a masters student of social work and child development and have looked at some child psychology..authors reder and duncan talk about parenting, and psychology, they are very well established writers/commentators.david howe is also a great writer who looks at child psychology to a degree....re the interview i would say you want to learn, learn how the mind functions, develops etc, how traumatic experinces can shape behaviours, how displayed behaviours can be indicative of underlying issues......also i would say look at freud, the id, ego and superego, ego defense mechanisms and how they interact...eg, how people repress, deny feelings.the mind is a powerful organ.and whether it will be hard is tricky, yes for some it will be harder than for others, if your very passionate about wanting to study and learn then it might be hard but you wont think of it like that cos you'll be enjoying the learning process, you'll no doubt learn about yourself and about the subject....my true advise is ask yourself why you want to do the course and then say it out loud. ie,.is there something specifically that has motivated you to do this course-is there a specific area you would like to go into?..then refine what you've said..if your heart is really in it, it will come accross to the interviwer........ all be honest..dont try to wing it, the interviewer will know.if you dont know something,, say so, but explain you willing to learn and want to know more which you feel a course such as this will give you the opportunity to do......good luck ..hope that helps.
