Why do teenagers commit crime and what are some ways to prevent them committing crime?

I think its becasue teenage years is a stage between adulthood and childhood in which teenagers are just trying to discover themselves and as a result of self discovery may become susceptible to the influence of many things such as peers and the mass media before they become mature in adulthood. I think the best thing is keep them buisy at sports, constructive things or things they really like that gives them less time to get negatively influenced. and pray for them too.
You can prevent them from committing crimes further by imposing upon them appropriate penalties fit for adults. Treating them as kids will not help.
well teens i know who commit crimes do it becuz they are either bored, having a hard time, or are just rebelling. I'm 17 and my friends do bad stuff cuz they have nothing better to do.
The most difficult time for children, is in their teens. If parents do not teach them good manner, respect and obedience at their early age, later on they will regret it. My father never hit us. He talked and explained to us the reasons for us to be obedient. They talked to us about God. We were seven children. There was not black sheeps in my house. Everything we do have a price. Well educated children will be great men and woman of tomorow. They would not forget their good education when they are little ones. Good education starts in the house. Children remember most of the time the things when they were small. Things that happened to them in their environment times, and the things that surround them, when they were small. Good parents form good kids. Respectable parents teach their children to respect other for them to be respect. If parents are not strong in the way of teaching their children, not by been mean, later on they will suffer. Children need a good home, good parents that show them love since the begining of their childhood. Splits couple they have not enough time to care for their children. Everything has a price. I come from a formal home. Lovable parents, that teached us to have respect for other and we learn to be obedient to them. They took good care of us. Another thing is when one or both of our parents assist to the Church and talk about God in the house, thats is a good thing for children to be instructed in the Lord Jesus Christ, path.
In the book of Proverbs, says: Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6) Teach the child in the knowledge of the Word of the Lord and later on you will see the good result in his behavior. When children committe crime is because they have been guide by evil spirits and not by God. They carry madness, and a lot of hurts from their early age that make them to behave in the way they do. We never know what it is in the heart of a young boy or girl, only God. That is one of the reason for us to know God 's will and His words for us to obey Him and teach other to obey God. Sometime parents are so far from God because of sin that keep them separate from God and the veil of the ignorance covers them. They do not know the will of God, so they can not teach their children in the fear of God. It is not that easy to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Its is not easy to enter by the narrow door where Jesus Chist is waiting for us with His arms open waiting to show His mighty love to us, to confort us, and to set of free from the systems of this world. Jesus loves you, look for Him and you will receive wisdom, understanding of His Word, and revelation and you will teach other to see God the way you see Him. Jesus Christ is real, come to Him.
