Practically clean musician that is questioning things?

I'm in a band and tonight we just played our second show ever. To be honest..halfway though the set I just didn't care anymore..and I was bored. I was depressed. I quit smoking about 2 years ago and then joined this band and it was really hard for some reason for me to watch everyone in the crowd and the other bands smoking as well. It made me feel left out or something..and I think I project this hateful image to people because I'm an ex-smoker.and always thinking about smoking.. It seems like nobody ever wants to come talk to me. They only wanna talk to other people. I just don't know what to do right now..except complain. I have this feeling like maybe I want to go smoke, but I know deep down that I will be hooked again and either have to go through withdrawl or become a smoker and I don't know what to do really. I had some beer and that just made me more depressed of course. So anyone have any advice? I would probably give 10 points out.

Answer:
as a musician i know that disgust that seems to be seen by you and you alone.I almost lost my desire to even play.I gave it alot of thought and realized my problem came from my spectation of spectators. So i quit looking at the crowd because like you i became depressed and it affected my musical soul.so i focused instead on my music and lose myself in the currents within the vast ocean that music itself is.This consumed my attention and made people fascinated by my seperation and they seemed to be mezmorized more as i ignored them i noticed their growing attempts to get my attention on them until it amuzed me
I know just how you feel. I quit years ago and when one of those smoking cessation commercials come on TV I want to throw something at the screen. "Are you trying to quit smoking but can't stop thinking about these?" *shows a smoking cigarette* "I wasn't thinking about them a minute ago, asshole!"
Lollipops are a good substitute for cigarettes though. It worked for Kojak.
