How did you feel leaving your comfort zone?
Answer:
Everybody's experiences are different. But you have to beleive in your decision, see that light in the distance even when the road is not so smooth. It's all your wisdom, insight and persistance. You can make a best of of your desicions and actions. You just need to be vey much mindful of which way you are heading.
But remember there are times in life that you may need to go back on desicions or guide them in a different direction. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just you attained more wisdom and decided otherwise.
Good Luck. Remeber about the light at the end of the road in times you feel worried. But I sincerely hope and wish you wouldn't have a rough road ahead of you. Even if there's a rough road ahead, you still can go win your journey.
Australia is far away so its natural to feel a little afraid. Just remember to breath and that there are plenty of people over there to help you if you need it. Im sure you will be fine. Just remember you arent alone.
I left home for a week. Similar situation. I'd never really been away on my own. It was akward at first, as it is any time you leave your comfort zone, but it was fine. I met lotsa new people, and found myslef a little bit.
everybody is scared sometimes. nervous is okay. it's what makes the ride worth the destination.
No sacrifice...no success...
I remember leaving for Europe over ten years ago and feeling very anxious, afraid, and yet still excited at the same time.
I know it's easier for an outsider to tell you not to worry, but it's true, don't worry about it. Think about all the places and people that you are going to meet. Plus there is nothing good that will come from worrying. You can make yourself sick from worrying. So stop worrying, literally, every time you start to think about what could go wrong? or why am I doing this? Change the subject matter in your head to something more positive.
It might seem hard at first, but just keep doing it! If I were you, I would just think about all the cool stuff you are going to see, the places, the people, and just listening to the natives speak! You are very lucky to be able to go there and try something new. Quit worrying and enjoy your life!
The nerves should be balanced by the exhillaration of the new
challenges you face and the likely sense of achievement afterwards!
I moved from England to China last year which obviously had its difficulties, (especially as I didn't learn Chinese, lazy sod that I am.) It may sound trite, but these things are really never as difficult as you imagine they'll be. And even when the going does get rough, you just have to remember that it's a new experience, and no matter how horrible it may seem at the time it will just become another memory to laugh about later on.
I won't be of much help for you because I really don't like to leave my comfort zone.
But I think it is important to always expand ones comfort zone.
Look at this as a challenge that will make you a better person for having done it.
This is some thing you want or need to do. So put your best foot forward, hold your head high & meet the challenge.
Yes I did something similar in April of this year when I moved to Scotland. I wasn't that scared because I knew quite a few people here in Scotland before I came over, but boy, what a change! Talk about leaving your comfort zone! To tell you the truth I'm missing home (Buckinghamshire, England) something terrible. I miss my family and friends, health club, job....but I needed to get out of there for a while. I was overworking and had no time for anyone else and needed to get away from 'familiarity' to learn a few lessons about life. How do I cope....to tell you the truth, I don't know. I'm a christian so that helps me alot. I would suggest to you that you should try and get settled in as quickly as possible (make friends, get to know the surrounding area and country you're going to, etc) and keep reminding yourself why you're moving in the first place (I'm sure it's for a good reason). Good luck hun and all the best for you in Austrailia.x
I did that when i came to China!
You will be ok love. you will get over it and i took all my money, life everythign into this risk and it went well. I coped by being so interested in the life here and you will get used to it. Keep an open mind and while it is a new world consider yourself being reborn, time to find yourself again. Try all the foods, all the clothes EVERYTHING! Then you will find the new you and be happy. You cannot live or be who you are now in Aussie its too different so be reborn!
